The button feel has been a bit inconsistent with Canon over the past few years. They seemed to have experimented a bit with different models. The 60D had notoriously mushy buttons whereas something like the 450D is fairly clicky.
6D buttons are a little mushy but the rear pad is a bit shit, tbh. I’d send it back to HK when you return or call fixation and see if it’s a quick fix.
Mine also came from HK (digitalrev) but they have(had?) a fairly decent return policy as far as I can remember.
