If I'm on the road I don't want to be taking a tyre off, getting covered in sealant, cleaning away sealant and then trying to get an internal patch to stick, unless I really have to.
The tyre has to come off if you're using anchovies anyway, unless you want to risk stabbing your rim tape etc. when try to get the little blinders in. Also, no matter how close you trim the finished anchovy, you feel the bump each revolution.
Having tried all the other methods, glueless patch is by far the quickest and pleasant solution. Cheaper too.
