  • Nice! Love the first pic.
I've got a Mistral from 82 (I think), loved it for its classical ride.

    glws

  • I have more pictures and spec info, message if interested.

    Will take offers!

  • You've got both of these names slightly wrong, the first quite possibly owing to the handwriting of the person who wrote the spec and the other because they added the 'y' to 'Holdsworth':

    Shorter Rockford

    'Shorter Rochford'

    Holdsworthy

    'Holdsworth'

'Holdsworthy' at least could probably do with a correction to maximise your chances of someone finding it in a search.

    Lovely bike, GLWS.

  • Holdsworthy is correct

  • I believe that Holdsworthy was the catologue name, after Holdsworth was actually Holdsworth? Or something like that?

It's a BIG frame, needs the right buyer, and possibly a little reduction in price. The receipt is a very nice extra though. Not sure the receipt is worth 150 potatoes tho?

  • no, according to Wikipedia :

The original company formed a subsidiary, Holdsworthy Factoring, which built W.F. Holdsworth bicycles and wholesaled British-made parts and those it began importing from the continent.

  • Fuck me. Oliver got a fact wrong.

I'm off to IKEA to mark the occasion.

  • I read the Wikipedia entry earlier and the way I understood it was that Holdsworthy built Holdsworth frames. This is correct in the handwritten copy (it was built by Holdsworthy) but not correct (or so I thought) when referring to the frame itself, which is what the thread title does. I thought it meant the frame should be called Holdsworth? I may have misunderstood that or been too literal. In any event, I wasn't sure if a search for 'Holdsworth' would find 'Holdsworthy' in the initial search results.

  • This is still available and willing to negotiate on price.
message for more pics or details.

  • How tall are you? This looks beautiful but I fear it might be too big for me at 6foot.

  • I'm a bit over 6" and the bike is definitely on the big size but not stupidly so
