  • I have a poor enough grip and the hook grip helps. Again, I’m not lifting that much my deadlift PB is around 140kg but I think I could surpass that with minimal effort - just getting the time to build up to it is the issue.

  • I'll try and remember that grip for next time. I'm going tomorrow but can't imagine I'll be doing more deads.

    This gym has wooden floors and only tiny deadlift matts/sponges - if I let go it's going through the floor. :)

  • If I had any advice it would be to buy Mark Rippetoe’s book - Starting Strength - all the info is there.
