My dad has a Canon 60D. The 18-135 kit lens that came with it has broken so I’ve given him my old 18-55 kit lens that came with my 400D for the mean time but he’s not really satisfied.
He was asking me what to replace the broken lens with, his budget is about £500 but if I’m honest I think he should just buy a different camera. He’s not really into photography, he loves taking photos but he just slaps the 60D in auto, he bought an SLR because he thinks they take the best photos. He mostly takes pics on holiday and at weddings.
He’s intrigued by the idea of a new camera but still doesn’t believe there’s something for £500 that’ll be better suited to what he wants to do, and maybe there isn’t, any tips for that sort of budget?
