Hmm:
Driver’s Airbags
There is no specific legal requirement for cars used on the road to have an airbag. However, most
new cars have a front airbag for the driver as standard equipment. Airbags are sometimes referred
to as ‘Supplementary Restraint Systems’ (SRS) as they are designed to enhance the protection
offered by seat belts.https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/408945/airbags.pdf
I'll get mine MOT'd by the Porsche garage, they'll be aware that the car could have been supplied with the non-bag wheel.
The airbag light isn't illuminated as the correct parts were used.
Not sure how I'd fair with a non-Porsche MOT place however.

In that case is the requirement only when the car is sold as new?
Allegedly Voluntary fitment in the EU..
Down to the MOT man I guess.

Although one of my guilty pleasures is that London monkey dude.

Have to admit, do watch.
He's a bit Essex boy and not sure about the wayfairers in any weather. The cars he profiles are the business though, that Capri he did with the 2JZ turbo was pretty special.
I liked the wee Mini you could lift on your own as well.

Now him I can't stand, think it has something to do with the vanity of small differences for me personally. Recently I've subscribed to a few questionable channels but mainly so there's something to watch everyday. Jamie_FYD is my guilty pleasure, please dont judge.

In the UK, E-series, show peak rust around 'R', from the switch to early water-based paint.

Currently am being given the run-around by Audi aus. My A3 1.8tfsi has an oil burning issue due to a manufacturing flaw in the piston rings. It's a known issue with an official product bulletin.
Audi now claims it's my rocker cover gaskets that are leaking... Visual inspection reveals dry seals and no obvious leaks. Absolute arsewipes. Engine has 76,000 Kay's and is well within it's lifespan and has full Audi history bar one independent for a minor service. So I'm facing a big fight or a $12000 engine rebuild because of their bad engineering. Or I sell it and that makes me the arse for selling a bad car. Over it! No more vag product for me.I've even found a replacement family car... A 1984 barn find pug 505 GTi. It's been sitting for 20 years but in perfect condition. Add a low pressure turbo and off we go.

Always had a softspot for a 505, especially the GTI's. Great find.

Great series to run in with a good selection of cars. My uncle's 3000M race car is due to be ready this year after an extensive overhaul. Not sure which championship he's planning on running in this time but I think he may have run previously in the 70's Road Sport championship run by HSCC.

Get it.
You know it is awesome.
-
• #39949
It does. Most likely flying to Melbourne in two weeks and driving 1100 Kay's back to Sydney. Will help the seller change the timing belt and water pump but he's done the rest. It will be a little roadkill style without the fails... Hopefully.

What if it was an import that didn't have requirement?
Example in Lancia Fulvias imported for South Africa, right hand drive but the hieght of the dipped beam light is lower compared the the uk model.
