Yes indeed, and when visiting my dad at Christmas he said “those look like really sensible shoes for where you live now, veldtschoen aren’t they”.
Having spent years ignoring parental views on clothes it feels odd to get his seal of approval.

am debating between these
and these
veldtschoen appeals for its more rugged construction, but the dainite sole of the murton is less likely to bring so much mud into the house - though probably won't give as much grip in the wet outdoors
