I'm aiming to get the 7:58 from Clapham Junction, arriving at Staines at 8:22.
See you at the start line.

That's the one :) It's really lovely at the top... and lovely rough!
The farm has a cafe now - rather good coffee and local cider (in tins) and local gin (in hip-flask bottles). Just saying...
They dropped a load of straw on the road there sometime today, so some of the potholes were a bit softer tonight. Watch for the flints; tractors have been busy field-to-field strewing crap everywhere. Countryside! -

Ah! Could be! They're all cageless in 'leccy wire fields now :)

I am intending to see you all at Cafe Nero, but if something goes wrong and I get delayed I'll just follow the route until I find you.
I'll bring a pair of wheels, a track pump and basic tools. If you need my help call me:
0741 501 2067. You should have this number with you, just in case.
Chris.

I am dropping out I'm afraid.
Family duties on my first Saturday off in a while have take priority.
Sorry you won't all get to see my extraordinary mudguards in the flesh.Have fun. 😔
-
• #185
As you wish. Are you taking the Stayer? Would love to see it built up in the flesh.
-
• #186
Yes. Not fixed tho. The wheels I was going to borrow from Sam are not in London yet so will be ss.
-
• #187
Oooooh, be cool to see it.
Starting to look like a bit of rain in the morning.
-
• #188
I’m touch and go on this - might need to go be an extra on my mate’s short film instead. Be a shame to miss it, though, I reckon I should be able to just about keep up with you all now instead of fading in the last hour...

Just in case anyone else is on Komoot but not RWGPS I've copied the route here: https://www.komoot.com/tour/26330740?ref=wtd
NOTE: There are two small deviations on the route where Komoot refuses to route on paths (by Chalgrove Airfield and coming back into Windsor) and it won't route down Eton High St. the wrong way.

Woah I totally forgot about this. I'd better glue a new tub on tonight.
Edit: Also, I don't have any mudguards but I'll hide at the back if it's wet. I'll be peeling off at about the 10 mile point anyway due to post-op knee rehab reasons etc. Valid excuse, honest!

Rain and very low temperatures. I have to say that I am worried about ice and wondering about swerving this.
-
• #192
If it's raining it's too warm for ice :)
-
• #193
Yes, the little bit of rain forcast starts quite early so should hopefully dissolve any earlier frost. If it looks icey when we're out I have no problem calling it off due for safety's sake. But at the moment it just looks cold and a little wet.

It looks like it’ll live up to its billing.
-
• #195
Business as usually then...
Will fix some bodgy flap tonight.
-
• #196
Looks like the night will be above 0° and we might avoid black ice.
-
• #197
2 degrees, 90% chance of rain... warming up to 3degC :)
-
• #198
Go well chaps. Wish I was there.
This is totally worth the ride just to see Clubman's car parked by the side of the road.
-
• #199
Sounds Luke sealskin hydrostop socks weather. I rarely get to use them so I am sort of excited!

Looks like my "ice" gambit has been countered.
Raining all day. Fuck that. I'm out.
@richardshill Must be where this guy is from! Taken during the aforementioned puncture fix
