  • Ok, I found out who made it, he's going to let me know how much it would be for him to make another one (he still has the moulds).

  • That's good, often tooling is the worst bit.

Happy to help with any other bits you want to design as a result

  • Cheers!

  • What is that thing?

  • An airbox for a 911. The round things with the red bases are air filters.

  • Always amazed water in the tank doesn't affect cars more, motorbikes get struck with it (but many sit for 8 months every year of their life going no where).

Anyone who is having real fueling issues I suggest to drop the tank, lift + HP pump and rake the lot out before digging into anything else. Worth doing every 5 years I would say, once you've seen the junk that accumulates in your average 60k/5 year old grocery hatchback you'll start getting paranoid lol.

  • Used to have one in the family, haven't seen on in over 10 years now, guess they never lasted quite the same as like a peugeot 405 did. Remember the interior being very, brown, two tone and velour!

  • I guess it needed a turbo'ed engine to get that unaerodynamic lump moving.

  • Yep, I was surprised this one seemed to be intact, but the shutlines looked a bit off, suggesting some replacement panels or even doors. Seem to remember they were pitched against the Granada/Carlton so presumably sold in relatively low numbers. Same biodegrability as most Fiats?

  • Borp borp!

  • hot piss.

  • That 26r in the background is feeling like a right little ginger stepchild...

  • Mmmmhmmmm. That is a tasty burger.

  • Excellent

  • Genuine 26R?

The MGB is looking great. Love the colour.

  • That looks incredible BRM, beautiful colour.

Looking at the CF airbox I posted earlier, and armed with a recent review of YouTube carbon fibre panel forming tutorials I think I might have a crack at making that myself.

  • Love the leather strap!

  • Mate, it's fucking gorgeous.

Can't wait to see you having it a bit sideways on a race track, steaming to yet another victory.

  • again, if you have the mould i can help you lay it up if you want.

I bought quite a bit of stuff from easycomposites for the stuff i made - i actually have a vacuum pump etc from them too.

  • Not much. £1500 max probs less for a quick sale.

  • This looks so boss already. Top work.

  • Thanks for the kind offer - whereabouts is your workshop/space?

  • Just how noisy is a 911 on ITB’s? I should probably establish that before making any further decisions on that front.

  • “Of the 97 26r made, all 120 are still on the road...”

Truth is I don’t know. Ive always assumed so. He’s had it as long as I’ve known him. There’s an SE and a drop top in there too.
