Let us not forget that that bike would have been considered rad as fuck 10 years ago.

Herne Hill regular. My daughter loves that bike. She will learn.

Was there not an all-female sweet fixeh crew back in the day that rode all neon shizzle? Remember them from a few forum events and brick lane polo. I seem to remember them being legit couriers as well.

have I achieved Anti status?
I think you're trying too hard.

Yeah, it sort of has that vibe. But it's assembled out of (pretty much) the cheapest parts I could get my hands on. So if there were nice looking parts that were cheaper I would have used those.
I guess Anti is more "I have horrible taste and think this bike looks good" as opposed to "I don't care what this bike looks like" or "I want this bike to look horrible". So I guess it doesn't really fit.

Mostly itβs about what other people think about it.
Dammit new page

RAD!

It was a lot of fun to be fair.

it's almost out the other side again (though fuck me that saddle is unforgivable mate).

• #43171
Β£3 new though! I might have to get rid of it, it's just horrid

Well it says FixedGear MTB in the title so that would have been perfect.
It could almost look alright actually... If I get rid of the other horrible bits (black bar tape, black front wheel, respray fork) a funky zebra saddle might look interesting
I will consider reupholstering one of my old saddles in zebra and chucking that on

I think ESPECIALLY with the bar tape, fork, wheel and other menagerie you've managed to mash together this far. Don't change a thing. Maybe more anodised bolts.

Don't change a thing.
That front wheel was absolutely deadly, it's gone already. Swapped for a much less cool but hopefully safer Mavic Crossride that I got for Β£15. Bar tape (on the right side only...) switched to black experimentally while I mess about with a bar end shifter and cross top lever. Chainrings had to be swapped for two silver ones. Rack gone. Pedals swapped to dual SPD/flats that I got for Β£1 (!). And have added a derailleur and cassette (but will probably switch back to fixie at some point).
Most of that I did last night and tonight.
Behold:
Less funny but much nicer to ride.
Edit: might take it out for some 50mm f/1.8 art shots in a few days to really highlight the awfulness
I appreciate the effort that's been put in to reach that level of hideousness. Top work.
