Have a look at the cam follower inside the lens mount, as you focus the inside of the lens runs on it and moves the rangefinder.
If it's when it's cold it could be that arm needs greased.
Mine gave some trouble with the rangefinder lagging behind the lens focus. A clean and oil of this arm sorted it.

It looks clear but sometimes I cannot see the patch to overlap other times its absolutely fine.
Not sure if its the cold thats got something to do with it?!
