I think you can get El Capitan running on that (may need some sleight of hand). At the age it is, it's got limited life because of the OS limitation. However, the good news is that giant ornamental cheese graters are due to come back 'in', and every home need a good conversation piece. [thumb]

if it's the mac 1.1, which it probably is, won't update past 10.6.8, I'm now trying to get rid of mine, and may just put it in for recycling.
If it isn't the 1.1 so 2.1, 3.1, 4.1, 5.1 , you may have better luck updating it to El Capitan/Sierra

Will have been bought in 2007 I think as thats when the company opened, were a printing fineart/photo printing company so I assume they were as highly spec'd/modded as possible in terms of RAM and whatnot
*edit- is there a way of me telling what year exactly it is without turning it on?
so far I've identified that its definitely the Mac pro and not the similarly styled Power Mac G5
