All depends how old. Pro 2010 and later will support Mac OS Sierra.
I used a Pro until the middle of this year. With a ton of RAM plus SSD it was as nippy as anything else I could have used for the work I do.*macOS - bah you kids get off my lawn

I've been offered a free (first gen I think) mac Pro from work, and I'm trying to figure out if its worth bothering with it, its likely got photoshop cs3 on it already but will that run photoshop CC or is it too old?
I guess the web browsers it supports will be fairly out dated?
