what are you replacing it with? A threaded sealed unit or just some new 30mm bearings? i'd say nay if it's just the bearings

NAY! Just use plenty of grease.

This, copper slip is plentiful, only loctite as last resort (as recommended by Cannondale).

At least it’s not the OPI stem you are dealing with.

Personally I’d keep the grease to a minimum and the copaslip away from the BB30/ Hollowgram install but whatever works, works.

Bizarrely other companies seemed to do it better, I just serviced a Specialized that I have serviced several time in the past 3 years whose original BB30 bearing is still pristine despite the Roubaix getting cacked with shit.

tbh i've done so many bb30 swaps now i don't even consider it a pain. Easier than a threaded.
Anything is better than the trek bb90 system

BB90 is surprisingly easy, I don't even need tool to push the bearing in.
