Drainpipe is a neater idea.
Get some thin perspex/acrylic/betterplasticicantquiteremembernameofpolymer and either increase the mouth so it overhangs. Like milkjugs or orchids.
Or.
Make a wide full funnel and add some pipes to get it high enough.
