So, the avensis is fixed, we'll see if it was the right decision...
On another subject, tool wise, any ideas where I can find what seems to be called in English "double ended socket wrench" or "L-shaped socket wrench" ("clef a pipe" in French). Usual eBay and Amazon don't have much choice, maybe it's not a popular type of tool in UK? I have had a basic set for a long time and always have been frustrated by the numbers of my set. But because they are good quality (made in France Facom) I just want to buy missing numbers but as single numbers with that kind of brand it's too expensive for my usage. I can't find middle of the range ones (I'd be happy with halfords advanced if they made them)

Facom stuff is great. Think "wera" (Polish and high quality) and unior (Swiss and also quality) make them you can buy individual, no idea what they ate called though.

They can do epix mpg, but like all diesels need cleaned out.
If you drive the 1.9 150 like normal allowing it to boost lots at low rpm, expect to get mid 40s. You have to treat the throttle very gentle in order to get over 50, although once used to the sensitive pedal you'll be fine. -

Facom is not what it once was. Owned by stanley black and decker, and made in taiwan.

TDDI or tdci?
PS I paid less than that for an 02 estate. But then serviced it with the correct for parts and oil. Gear oil if fucking expensive.
Is the dual mass knocking?

Not going to France anytime soon...
Hoped they'd be something available here. -

Want me to grab you some when I'm next over?

Pourquoi pas, thanks, although I'm not desperate...
I only need few numbers, not a whole set, something cheap and decent enough. I've read in French fora that Facom is not that good anymore, only some stuff is still made in France, and the price isn't always justified. Meanwhile, a cheap brand called Magnusson, distributed by a large DYI chain called Brico Depot seem to have good feedback. Their "clef a pipe" is in the price range I'm thinking about (and was hoping to find a UK distributed equivalent):

Has anyone heard of / used Yato Professional? Found what I need on eBay under that brand. Bit more that I want to spend bit if confirmed to be good stuff that could be an option.

Has missed that answer... Indeed, that's what I read.
The few stuff I own was still made in France... Mostly excellent quality (at least for what I use it for) except the screwdrivers which are ok but not amazing. -

I looked, but no luck... I think also it may be more expensive than what I want to spend

Owned by kingfisher group, who own b&q, screwfix, castorama too.

Hve you tried french ebay, leboncoin for second hand stuff?

I wondered if Mac Allister au B&Q was the same as Magnusson, it would make sense, but it doesn't look as good...

What colour? Colours? Fadez?

Rather boringly everything will be the same- including the calipers which are staying black rather than the red everyone else seems to favour.
But the rot will be gone along with the dents, and I’ll be able to see out of the rear window at night.

Nice. And you are right on not having red brake callipers. They are a bit try-hard.
I'm very pleased the last owner of my car specified a nice subtle grey. Mr W. was a man of excellent taste all round really.May your paint job be shiny and free of runs and overspray.

Where are you getting it painted if you don't mind sharing (if not Porsche specific)?
I need a little bodywork on mine later this year and you probably put more thought and research into finding a good place than I would :)
(edit: will definitely include red calipers :) ...)
