I rode it to get the club 15 record for dudes, which didn't exist at the time so seemed like an easy one to try for :)
So, did you get it?

A couple more and you'll have done a 24hr worth.
I thought that as soon as I posted it. I've done the H10/2 221 times, which must amount to more than your total on the Mersey Roads 24 course :)

Those ruts add up...
Those ruts aren't on the 10 course, just the 50, 100 and 12.

Open event, finished it, yessireebob

Yeah, 480+518+503? up there.

I don't think I've ridden the 10 on the A31, although I have ridden out there on a training ride when a 10 has been on. I met fasteddy out there by chance and tried his bike.

Recced the North Roads Hardrider 25 course today. It’s not too bad really, three decent hills at the start then rolling with a couple of fast sections. Should be good fun, providing I can dodge the potholes.
Disc + HED3 or 50mm carbon?
-
• #16834
I did disc and jet 9.

I'd ride whatever works well with the fattest tyres.
But I'm older than you and the comfort/speed equation is only going in one direction...
-
• #16836
The 50mm carbon wheels are wide so I can run 25mm GP4000s and latex tubes. Leaning towards them as the disc and HED have 20mm tyres. The deepish section wheels are a fair bit lighter too.
Comfort @Scilly.Suffolk!? It’s a one hour TT!

Grip maybe not comfort

Wouldn't fancy chucking a 20mm Supersonic too hard into greasy corners.

Greasy, gravelly, potholed Hertfordshire roads + being on the limit = necessary brain protection

If one were to make an investment. Ha! What’s the best frame and forks on the market?
Given that I could achieve my position on it.I presume there isn’t much in it. And would be personal on position.

Fixed wheel?
-
• #16847
I do want to race fixed. But it would only work on the right course. A fixed tt bike is on my list. But more for fun.
-
• #16848
Ah! So triathlon then... :0
-
• #16849
The boring answer is the one that allows you to get into the fastest position and put out the most power whilst creating the least drag of its own, which for you means...

Someone posted some links in the aero thread showing brands comparing brands but those tests aren't independent so they're always biased to the bike maker doing the testing.
I'd love to build a Cervelo or something up just for 10 and 25mi TTs.
A couple more and you'll have done a 24hr worth.
