Your bike is cool. Get rid of the reflective strips on the tyres and a silver chainring, would be simple and cheap fixes to your main issues I reckon.
Gravelkings are awesome, I had them on my steamroller in 32 as commuter/weekend rider

Well it is a work in progress. It’s not the best colour Surly have made them in, they call it ‘drink more water’ but it’s basically snot green. I have some 40mm Marathon Supreme but not sure they will fit and given the struggle getting these on I am loathe to experiment. 38mm Gravel Kings in tanwall are very handsome tyres. Also thinking of painting at least the rear braking surface.
And I have some silver Sug 75s on another bike that is shortly going to be restored so stripped that can go on there, or even some fluted Campagnolo Pistas that aren’t being used atm. I think the vintage Campags will jar on a modern build but still better that those horrible cranks. I mean the chainring is inside the spider.
