The thing is the old bikes are generally safe to post, the people who post them are good at discerning the immaculate 'correct' builds from the lesser ones. With modern bikes everyone seems to have an opinion so people stopped posting them. To me it's fine and all but in the end it's the same boring old stuff every day. People don't post modern bikes because they know people will complain about almost anything, that's why we have the 'safe space' guilty bike porn and the abomination of a thread that is modern bike porn. I like to post modern bikes here sometimes, partly because I like the build and and partly out of protest against the old stuff dominating the thread. If you don't like it you can complain and expose my obvious shit taste but at the end of the day I don't care and I won't fight you for it. I think this thread would be a better place if more people could do that.
Tldr post what you like and love your shit taste
