Couple of updates
I started a new carving a couple of weeks before Christmas. Then decided to replace the old MDF bench tops with nice new ones, made with plywood that had been standing in the shed for the past 6 months. Then used some interior varnish, to offer a little protection against the occasional coffee spill, or bike grease. The varnish has a matte finish, so the sun doesn't reflect off it much. It's only a tiny bit darker, and the grain is a bit more pronounced.

I liked it when it was a bear with a fat tummy the most.

Ha, yes. I always end up with a succession of different creatures, before finally arriving at the one I'd like.

Great stuff - I think I'd end up with clothes pegs .

I've had a couple of goes at wood carving, I end up with, what can best be described as, kindling.
When I get some cash together I'm gonna build a bike store, knock down our current shed and build Mrs Tea a studio, if it turns out half as good as yours I'll be greatly pleased with myself. Much envy. -

I watched the whole playlist of My Self Reliance... Man, this is true life. He does need a bathroom and a bikeshed though.

(And any kind of off-grid green electricity)

• #569
Also it appears you can see through between the logs, I’m not sure that’s finished
-
• #570
The lack of bikes is clearly taking the 'off the grid' thing way too far.

• #571
Also, no beard, or bear? Wtf?!
