It's not stated on the website as such, there is some basic info about repairs I think that doesn't apply to the Edge models in the UK 'warranty' section. You need to call the number given there.
I think I got this tip from Singletrackworld forum at least 5 years ago, replaced a smashed 705, another one a couple of years later, and when my 810 started acting up last August I did it again OK. There was no physical damage and I didn't claim there was. I just said it was frequently crashing/turning itself off.
If they had hesitated I might have said I'd dropped it in a lake or something. Or called back after chucking it at a wall.
All 3 units were described as refurbs, all 3 were immaculate.
You can get an out-of-warranty 810 'refurbed' by Garmin for £82.50, and then sell the resulting brand new one with manufacturer screen protector and all on eBay for about £125 (guesstimate). At least that's the arithmetic I used a couple of months back, but I kept the new one because it actually seems to work.
