bar end cable and routing it so it goes under the hoods and down the same way as the sti shifter cables does; a faux pas to some but it looks neater. Would a good cable and outer negate the added friction caused by the extra bends?
If anything, following the bar will introduce a more gradual curve in the cable than routing it into an STi.
