  • I though it was Paul Verhoeven-esque glossy trash but without the panache, combined with tired cynical satire, blatantly adapted from a pulpy airport novel, with too much bad acting and cringeworthy dialogue. The story was preposterous, it was tonally confused, the ending was ludicrous and unsatisfying, and it was a full hour too long. The tense bits weren't tense, the scary bits weren't scary, the funny bits weren't funny and the sexy bits weren't sexy. I have no idea why it was so well received.

    I do like lots of films by the way! Between this and Star Wars I sound like a right whinge-bag.
