I have finished building the Pinnacle Dolomite 4 frameset I purchased on eBay.
I somehow slightly bent the front disc so will need to straighten it. New pads, new tyres, new bar tape, new cables, new chain.
Could do with a wider range cassette.Still need new forks so PM'd @Jelliffe99 who has some for sale.
Also need a longer RD cable.I am at £250 (without pedals) so far, I am starting to think I should have bought a complete bike!!!
Maiden ride tomorrow.

I only had 2m new gear cables so the rear one is about 10cm too short...
The rest are ok on full lock.
EDIT The rear brake cable is indeed too short :-(

Thanks, @Pawlus I am having the (curved) carbon Time Millenium fixed (new steerer tube because it's too short for the Serotta) so still in doubt about ging black or yellow. ;)
I suppose not everybody is a fan of the SL-K stuff but I had them in my spares box and I think it doesn't look that bad on it.

Feeling a bit sad now that I've "finished" all my bikes and can't mess about with mismatched random components any more. The most exciting thing I can do is upgrade my 10-speed SRAM MTB/road mashup groupset to 11-speed. Although I only just bought the 10-speed bits.

I had a pair of these forks. The metal dropouts came unbounded from the carbon fork legs, luckily as I was taking the wheel off, not whilst I was riding. I have no idea if that's a common issue with them but maybe it's a problem with carbon forks of that age!

I have a pair of older straight bladed Time carbon forks with a steel threaded steerer on my Argos. I've been getting more and more concerned by the flex/judder under braking but had hoped that it was more likely to start cracking than spectacularly fail.
Your story makes my stomach turn.

If it worries you, you can always have them reglued. I did it in a carbon repair training and it's rather easy. Just heating the aluminium (not the carbon!) so the old glue brakes, cleaning and re-gluing. Stronger than before.

Using nitromors to remove the decals from a Uno stem, but some of the graphics are not rubbing off. Any tips for getting stubborn logos removed?

Thanks for the tip, i may give this a go. I check them regularly and they still look in really good shape, maybe it's just a characteristic of the fork i need to accept. I spoke to a few retro MTB'ers that have experience with old carbon forks and they've never seen any snap in one go which makes me feel a little better!

It's the acetone in nail varnish remover that helps remove logos. You can buy pure acetone from behind the pharmacy counter at boots if nail polish remover isn't strong enough.

Here's a photo of what happened to my forks. As I said, I have no idea if this is typical of forks made this way or if this was a one off!

The metal dropouts came unbounded
I don't think that's debonding, it look more like a simple fatigue fracture of the dropout, aided by some corrosion judging by the state of it.
