  • Thanks for responses; it is just the male part needed and the male/female parts to seem to be "keyed" so I don't think a generic male will fit the Ortlieb female buckle which is sewn into a loop and then bolted to the pannier so can't easily be replaced.

  • It's easy enough to take a junior hacksaw to the bar on the female half and cut a diagonal slot across it (in the way that @danb has described above) and then feed the webbing loop onto this - I've repaired a couple of bags in this way.
