Soma wolverine like sliding dropouts?
I think some bombtrack frames and the flaanimal have them too.Not sure if the route is the same as last year, but With lights, be prepared for long stretches on the Nullabor where you might not be able to recharge etc.
And last year's route had some pretty hilly bits out of Adelaide and through Fall's creek in Victoria.
Doing it fixed (at least that's the plan) so will essentially have 3 ways of slowing. I know everyone's on the disc hype, and my next geared bike will have them, but for this I can't find a fixed frame that will have a disc brake attachment and allow forward/backward movement of the wheel to tension the chain - as I'll be using different gears. I was looking into the Trek Crockett frame but not really sure if it's worth it just to improve the braking when it will suffice using the Dolan FXE. I hope.
Will hunt for one of those then.. unless you're selling any?
Dynamo hub really worth the extra faff and energy? Or will keeping batteries charged up be even more of a faff? Thanks for your priceless info!
