Exactly, cits are not hard to work on if you have the time. Parts available every where. I have also read long threads about tuning the ride and handling by swapping sphere's as they all have different valving/diaphragms depending on model. Apparently by the time they stopped production on the s2 xm the hydractive suspension was 100 sorted.
I went through a phase of cx,bx and xm with knackered suspension. The spheres can rupture so go hard that they damage the rear wishbone bearings. Time consuming but not hard. Used to have sets of rear wish bones and swapped them, then replaced the bearings in my own time. Also used to rebuild the sliding suspension legs when they preasurise the return system. Also cleaning out and replacing the fluid in the reservoir. Some needed cleaning out with hydrogage cleaner. The spheres could be tweaked to get amazing handling.
Used to buy the fluid in carreforre 1/4 to a 1/5 of the price here. Joy of using andyspares and a mate that worked at a citroen dealer.
