I went through a phase of cx,bx and xm with knackered suspension. The spheres can rupture so go hard that they damage the rear wishbone bearings. Time consuming but not hard. Used to have sets of rear wish bones and swapped them, then replaced the bearings in my own time. Also used to rebuild the sliding suspension legs when they preasurise the return system. Also cleaning out and replacing the fluid in the reservoir. Some needed cleaning out with hydrogage cleaner. The spheres could be tweaked to get amazing handling.
Used to buy the fluid in carreforre 1/4 to a 1/5 of the price here. Joy of using andyspares and a mate that worked at a citroen dealer.
508 Yeah, decent size, quite practical load space and child entertaining plastics in the back. They depreciated hard though, and AFAIK no where near popular as the 405 and 406 were for fleets, so just not many around to choose from. Would prob get an older one under 5k as they are still depreciating hard.
Always fancied a Citroën c6, prob stoked by the potholes we have here and wanting my spine not to be impacted every time I go anywhere lol
