  • I’m keen too.

  • Yeah I'll happily cart and carry if needed.

  • Supply bacon sandwiches?

  • Can help stick the car together.

Have you got the regs book for the race series?

  • Has the inner lip tucked in?

Using a old wheel brace as a dolly to hammer the rim straight, well rounder.

  • Has the tech really moved on that much?

I have no idea as last time I looked in to it, for motorbike lights, ended up making my own for the rear lights.

  • I have used stainless steel teflon rod ends and either a length of stainless bar or stainless tube with an internal thread. Never had any problems.

  • If you are fitting adjustable ride height suspension, you should fit adjustable drop links to keep the ARB in the correct place. If you are looking for help, look at the reason the roll bar is there and how it works.

EDIT: Or just listen to NurseHoliday as he is right.

  • You are right.

The issue is not adjusting them correctly.

  • I have emailed Centre Gravity to resolve this question.

Either the most renowned suspension tuning business in the U.K. is correct, or Lynx.

    Let's find out!

  • It is lynx for fuck sake. Also @NurseHolliday seems to agree.

I do like the idea of the most renowned... I would like to see what they say.

Edit : PS Why not speak to the nice people at Gaz suspension or Leda suspension. They seem to know a bit about suspension.

  • Cleaned the filter of the windscreen washer pump today, was a right ballache getting the pump out. There are three under the wheel liner and it’s the furthest back (of course). Cleaning and refitting took under 5 mins so that was satisfying.

  • What caused the blockage? General bits or something else.

  • Not sure exactly, looked as if the blue washer stuff may have gelled a bit and there was a sort of white waxy coating on the filter too.

  • Were we talking about this up thread? Seems to be quite common that you get a gel like substance that doesn't re dissolve when having more water added. Is it easy to get the whole 'bottle' out to clean it?

  • Yeah I think so - this happened when my father-in-law helpfully topped it up with about 5 different leftover bottles over Christmas.
I didn’t find any instructions about getting it out, I’d assume not given having to go through the wheel arch rather than the engine bay. Mind you it seemed as if the dynamic steering bollocks means you lose some wheel lock when you turn the engine off.

  • You can get smelly ones, that is what the girlfriend chose and paid halfords to put in.

  • New cage for the race battery and lid. How cool is the colour match? Clear over base aerosols.

  • That’s an amazing colour match! Wouldn’t believe it wasn’t all the same paint.

But they’re cheaper on eBay I think

  • Something about that is very satisfying, and makes me even more impatient for the next Project Binky instalment.

  • We get that at work, customers buying cheap screen wash and a bacteria builds up in the bottle, the fluid goes like a milky cotton wool that clogs up the pump filters, we remove the bottles, jet wash them and sluish with a mild bleach, jet wash again and renew the filters

  • It is lynx for fuck sake.

I'm not over-riding my laptops dictionary every time I type your name.

  • I’m really interested to find out. CG are renowned for being top level so I’d like to hear the theory.

From our own testing when my friend was in Time Attack and we data logged everything we tested, compliance is faster than stiffness and preloaded ARBs are stiff, not compliant. That’s not groundbreaking, people who race have known that for years. So I’m happy to be corrected by people more knowledgeable than me.

  • This new racer shell just looks so much more sorted than the red thing. It's amazing. Must be very satisfying putting it all together.
