  • hehe that's 2016

  • That's a lot of Midgets for one man, how much time are you allowed?

    2014 aims:
    1) photography 52, no common theme, just a pic a week.
    Fail
    2) ride the MTB more
    Fail
    3) drop 3 stone
    Fail (lost zero)
    4) start running
    Fail
    5) work harder
    Ha! fail.

    2015 is:
    1) Get a new job (necessity as I am being made redundant in April)
    2) Photo more (should be easy, I am unemployed in 3 months)
    3) Get all my bikes working 100%
    4) Get fitter
    5) Ride my longest ride (not hard, i think 60miles is the longest, hoping to do a century or 3 by the end of the year)

It's no use trying to struggle against fate. Just accept that eating is your fate.

  • You'd have to check the International Midget Usage Guidelines.

  • Anyone made any resolutions? Anyone failed at them already?

  • Looks like I'm failing my "ride at least 2x/week" resolution already, got sick.

  • My resolution was to not drink until tonight. I've done it, I've fucking won.

  • wetanuary

    going pretty well so far

  • I’m putting a different person on Ignore each month.

  • Ah yes, now I remember.

Not using the lift at work. ~90 steps from basement (locker room) to my floor. ~70 between canteen and my floor.

  • The last year I managed to meditate daily so I wish to develop my daily routine.

This year my plan is to exercise every day (unless unwell). This can include cycling, yoga, gardening, wood chopping etc. My aim is to keep a record on strava to see how I get on.

  • I seem to fail miserably at resolutions, but 2020 looks more promising.

I'm starting a new job on 2 Jan, 15 minutes walk from my front door, so I'll have a good hour+ every morning to dedicate to running and cycling before I need to get in the shower and get ready for work.

So, attainable targets for the year are:

Finish a fucking couch to 5k training app.
Run 5ks as regular as possible after that
Get my cycling legs back and ride more often.
Built the Lego sets I've accumulated
Read my ever growing comic collection
Finish 10% of the video games I have in my pile of shame

    Less attainable:
Finish my work qualification I failed a few years ago
Expand my music listening outside my comfort zone
Knock smoking on the head again

    Very unlikely:
Start the final year of my degree (if I finish the mid section mentioned above)
Get the middle floor of my house plastered

2019 was average but the last month has been a bit trying and difficult for me, so am putting a lot of effort into leaving it behind and getting on with the next one with a clean slate.
