1 - they might not be all the bikes you steal if you are stealing them? it's not uncommon for bikes to get damaged as they are forced free from locks/racks/whatever
2 - people are brazen as fuck sometimes
3 - some shops sadly if the numbers fit would see the no questions asked as exactly that and worry about the consequences after
Don't really want to argue with you about it, the posts looks dodgy imo so I posted it here as it seemed the right thing to do.
