I've been selling bikes and hifi gear on this forum for years and there are no shortage of members i've dealt with both in person and via online transactions who can vouch for my legitimacy.
I'd have to be pretty stupid to 1, go and steal bikes which need repairing, 2, try and sell them on a forum where I am pretty active 3, actively look for a buyer who has a bike shop and will no doubt do some checks on serial no's ect and ensure they aren't stolen.
Besides go back a few pages and you'll see the stolen polo bike I spotted and as a result lead to it being returned to the owner after it was stolen in 2012,
