  • Chaps, desperately seeking help: stolen from the hallway in my house (maybe door left open, as no signs of forced entry; but been away) from around 21st-24th December. Highbury and Islington, N5.

Just a simple Trek 470 Fast Track frame, but £ALot spent on new everything else incl 105 groupset, and fulcrum wheels, etc etc all new. Only just paid it off. Gutted.

    Cheers. James

  • Cinelli Gazzetta stolen - 29.12.17

Stolen from outside my flat overnight last night between 10pm and 10.30am. Pretty sure it was locked to itself, but am doubting myself now! Any news, please get in contact! Picture below:

Long story short, I can get around 10/20 bicycles a month, all good stuff, specialized, ridgeback, scott, trek, pinnacle ect, mix of 26" and 700c hybrids, all will need some kind of servicing or repair, often just brakes and gears adjusting and new inner tubes. Looking for a regular buyer who can take everything every month. Prices will be a flat 50/60 a piece but you must take everything. Can also get loads of 27" gas pipe (and the odd 531) racers for 40 quid but again will be a minimum of 10 bikes and buyer must take all.
If you have a bike shop this is a regular supply, not just a one off clearout.

Anyone interested please pm me. I have around 10 bikes to go right now including a nearly new ladies giant hybrid, trek roadie with carbon forks + aksiums, 2 specialised crossroads, a dahon jack folding bike, carrera subway and a specializer langster

Anyone had that stuff stolen? Looks dodgy as fuck.

  • Nothing dodgy at all, although I can see why you'd think that. They're all from house clearances, hence why they need repairing. (Aside from the ladies giant, that was literally bought and never used)

  • Any proof that these bikes are from house clearances?

If not, it’s hard to believe.

  • I've been selling bikes and hifi gear on this forum for years and there are no shortage of members i've dealt with both in person and via online transactions who can vouch for my legitimacy.

I'd have to be pretty stupid to 1, go and steal bikes which need repairing, 2, try and sell them on a forum where I am pretty active 3, actively look for a buyer who has a bike shop and will no doubt do some checks on serial no's ect and ensure they aren't stolen.

Besides go back a few pages and you'll see the stolen polo bike I spotted and as a result lead to it being returned to the owner after it was stolen in 2012,

  • The scary thing about this theft was that they posted pics of their first delivery of Brompton bikes on their Twitter account at 6pm and then immediately overnight were broken into.

  • Yeh, I noticed that but it seemed like rubbing salt in to the wound to point it out to them.
That's why I never instagram my Versace.

  • Can vouch for the polo bike recovery!

  • Thank you! Did the guy in Japan get it back in the end?

  • 1 - they might not be all the bikes you steal if you are stealing them? it's not uncommon for bikes to get damaged as they are forced free from locks/racks/whatever
2 - people are brazen as fuck sometimes
3 - some shops sadly if the numbers fit would see the no questions asked as exactly that and worry about the consequences after

Don't really want to argue with you about it, the posts looks dodgy imo so I posted it here as it seemed the right thing to do.

  • I get you. But seriously, i'm not selling stolen bikes, i'll even post up pics with frame no's if anyone wants?

  • I think that bloke should apologise to you for trying to be clever.

  • The beauty of this forum is that it is self policing. In this case, a genuine worry was brought forward, and Dazaa has come back and explained...job done.

    Group hug, and move on?

  • I've bought stereo equipment from Dazaa over the years and always picked it up from his flat.
Although I can never 100% vouch for him I can say I do trust him.

  • Bit late but just saw while scrolling the Seabass cycles page that the ESB spotted quite a few pages ago has been recovered!

  • This made my blood boil. The bike is worth pennies to the un-initiated but to lose it after a lifetime of pleasure must be soul destroying

I guess it may turn up at a London market?

  • Yeah man, that's the post I'm referring to booiiiii!

Also I've seen the owner around Elephant & Castle roundabout enough to know which bike you were talking about ;)

Last but not least, I've got an ESB myself so I know how rare they're to come by!

  • thats amazing, would love to know the full story

  • I dunno man, just know it got knicked, Clockwise probably knows more or hit up Seabass Cycles.

  • I'm hoping someone who knew the bike/original owner saw someone riding it and 'asked' for it back.

  • The ESB belongs to someone working in Seabass I'm sure they could tell the story..
