Membership of the club is free, we are affiliated with British Cycling and Cycling Time Trials. Sometimes an org like CTT will require knowledge that membership of a club is official and that the club holds record of your address as part of membership... this is the free membership offered by the LFGSS shop. The shop lists membership for £0 and anyone who makes a purchase is added to the list of customers, the list of customers is considered by me to be the formal list of membership of the club... and thus, buying an LFGSS jersey is formal membership of the club.
The LFGSS CC club does not give you anything in return for your £0 membership. But affiliation via BC and CTT means that you can now partake in events only open to members of clubs, or to make bookings in the club name at the Velodrome, etc (though clearly... you'll be paying for that booking).
That's good news.
VB, when the last design of the jersey was done, IIRC purchase of it was considered to include automatic 'membership' of LFGSS CC. Is this still the case, or does LFGSS CC still exist and membership is via another means?
