What I find disturbing with Graeme was even when links were posted clearly detailing the pitfalls and issues with blackening up and its history and cultural impact, yet he clearly didn't bother to read them or just didn't care. He consistently makes his emotional commitment to ignorance - even in the face of rational explanation. Even more disturbing is his partner is biracial iirc. By Pisti's comments, she is relegated to nothing more than a negro bedwench.
Regarding the Liverpool youth game and uefa/fifa sanctioned racism, I would argue to a massive degree that black footballers and entertainers in general are aiding and abetting their own degradation. We saw Busquets do the snide behind his hands:

Sadly the subpar 'education' these guys get in showing...hard. Their horizons are set as long they have sexual access to non-black women, a pimped up Range Rover and 6 bed mansions in gated communities. While they choose to keep it "all Lives matter", they're not serious in anyway shape or form about these issues.

Actually, coming back to this... no.
The ignore function is there and can be used. But this forum is a safe space for cyclists away from bullshit elsewhere in their professional or private lives.
If someone is gay, black, Chinese, trans, from a working class background... whatever the fuck is the thing that is used against them on a daily basis elsewhere... and that person is a cyclist and wishes to participate on here... then they really shouldn't have to deal with racism, sexism, homophobic comments on here.
As for the perpetual argument that it's different for the football thread... no. Fuck that.
This is a cycling forum and all cyclists are welcome. Ultimately this gets reduced to should we be tolerant of the intolerant... and the answer is no. There is no safe space at all, no sanctuary for all, if there exists a single person who is going to be racist or sexist on here. If someone has to deal with that in their daily lives, then on here they shouldn't have to at all.

That's not funny, it's not clever. It's plain and simple racism. Pistanator IS racist, and yet again in this thread he's being racist.
There is no basis that this can be excused or forgiven when he's been banned and warned so many times.
