I got the Trek frame from @mustard in the end, so I will be building it up with a few improvements over my current bike.
Does anyone have Zipp Vuka or Deda Parabolica clamps and pads for sale (along with Zipp Vuka spacers)?
I have a base bar and Zipp j bend extensions which I angle up quite a lot so I figure this will be a better set up than PDQ style bars but I’m open to suggestions.

Deda Parabolica use a 24mm extension rather than standard 22.2mm FYI

Thanks for the heads up. So Zipp spacers work with them, but I would need to use Deda extensions?
Does the Zipp Vuka Alumina system justify the extra cost?

IMO yes

In any particular area? I’m gonna do at least one 100 this year and maybe a 12hr so I don’t want to scrimp on comfort.

Much better pads and adjustability.

Make sure you get the new version of the Vuka. I have the old version and it’s a right pain in the arse if you want to change position once cabled up. Even more of a PITA when the armrest clamps shear from half the recommended torque.
Let me know what spacers you need. I have quite a few.

FWIW, I prefer the 3T Clip On Pro to the first model Zipp Vuka, the pros and cons are discussed here . If it's 3T vs. new Vuka, it basically comes down to how close together you want your elbows and whether you want to cover the gaps in stack adjustment on the Zipps by varying your base bar height.

P3 fixed gear conversion question!
So I've got a P3 for TTs this year, and as I only do 3 or 4 pursuits during a season, I'm toying with the idea of converting my TT bike, rather than use the track bike (74.5 degree seat angle isn't ideal for my position).
Can't be arsed finding/paying for a UCI legal seatpost, so how close can you get to 78 degrees with the seat in the rear position and a slammed ISM or similar?
Also, where on earth do you get a 130mm track axle and spacers from?

I didn't actually read that link until now. I don't think the pads move on the Vuka (I can't really remember now) since they have wide two-bolt clamp. It's why I swapped to them on the Shiv - two bolt clamp and bigger arm pads. Maybe they did but I've just forgotten or maybe the last carbon paste + tightening stopped it.

I'll need to go and update that thread. I bought the 3T ones and they didn't permit me to move the pads backwards as far as I wanted, and they were wierd in other ways (eg extensions not long enough to reach hands) so, today, a set of Vukas arrived in the post.

also yes from me

Right, so I ordered the 3T ones as they came with spacers and I got them quite a bit cheaper than the Vukas. I'll open them carefully and make sure I can get them to fit right!

What rear wheel?

Watch out for the bits that tighten the extensions in the brackets, small and easy to lose when you open the packaging. And they have a left handed screw thread.

Any tips on a fast 25 course in the north or midlands please?
Among my goals for 2018 is a sub-1 hour 25 on my road bike.

Entered the mersey roads 24hr and the break land cc 12hr. Noted the dates of the Farnborough 12hr, Welsh 12hr and the ecca 12hr. These are the only ones I could find. I also entered my first 100 on 19th May in Norfolk. Looking forward to it all already.

Farnborough? Is it not the Newbury 12 any more then? H12H/8? Is that a different course to the one up and down the A31?
-

Same course AFAIK, Just that Farnborough and Camberley CC seem to be organising it. Not sure why, possibly because Rachael Elliott is now D2Z and Ian Greenstreet is AeroCoach.

I'll probably be doing TABR but I wouldn't mind another crack at a 300mi 12hr. Not sure I've actually got it in me any more though - long TTs maybe don't hold the same appeal after ultras.
Crapola.
Cheers for the info.
