Any obvious holes in this drivetrain-hack, will it function OK?

M732 XT rear derailleur with longer B-screw
8 speed cassette
Shimano 6480 bar end shifter (friction for the front derailleur)
9 speed chain
4603 Tiagra 10 speed chainset
FD4600 10 speed front derailleur

But there's a better than even chance that the sprockets will only be 2mm thick even on an 8-speed cassette. It's probably going to work in practice.
