I note Evans have a couple of ex-demo bikes for £550, which seems like reasonable value, and it would tick a number of boxes for the OH's commuter/occasional towpath rambler: discs, flat bars, guards and rack mounts, and I like the IGH, but am slightly unsure about the Alu forks.

Does anyone have any experience with changing the forks in an Arkose from 50mm offset to 45mm?

These are 700c's with 45mm tyres and still plenty of room left.
I think it might take 50mm

Just haven't been posting anything for a while.
I was considering doing a cp thread all the way through the project, but the actual work was more fun that making a thread about it, so I ended up just doing more work.
I did take pictures of pretty much every step, so when I'm bored some day I might make a thread.

Anyone know the torque spec for the eccentric BB pinch bolts on the Arkose? @chak @edscoble
