Pretty much what thez uberfan had decided on the thread... seem somewhat rare even if they are inexpensive. I think there was another thread about Dr Grant's being a WWII issue mechanical.

I tried on a 38mm in Wempe a while back. The size was perfect for my rather puny 6.5in wrists and the smaller size would have been far too small. It doesn't wear big, despite the long lugs.

A while back I asked for sub £1k watch suggestions for my brother in laws 40th birthday, turns out he stretched the budget to a Tudor Heritage Black Bay Chrono, it’s a Breitling collaboration. Nabbed it today for a wrist shot, very nicely done, not too busy.

Fwarrrrrrr....!
Been wearing my Arctura 5M42 this past few days. Swapped the clasp original for a typical dive style one for added security and comfort.

This came up as suggested spam on the social media, but still... anyone actually USE these things?

I very much doubt it, in the same way that I doubt anyone actually uses calculator watches for mathematical operations; I'd imagine pilots derive a small degree of comfort of knowing they've got a potential backup, even if it they don't actually know how to use it...

Is it tho. Daytona is 38mm.
Would have said it was average.

Dress watches should be 38 imo, unless you might be @ChainBreaker I guess :) Hamilton also makes a 42 mm version. Anyway it's supposed to wear quite big on the wrist this 38 mm one

Obviously in your opinion... Personally, I think it should be in proportion to the rest of you. No point in having a small kids cracker watch nor a dinner plate but a 42mm wouldn't be amiss on my wrist and I'm sure if Clever_Pun had a 550mm it would be fine.
thats why this forum is the best place on the internet
