Crank Interchangeability?

Hi all,

Hoping one of you highly knowledgeable cyclists can shed some light on something for me. I'm just wondering if a Dura Ace 7700 crankset (9 Speed) will work with a Dura Ace 7800 groupset (10 Speed)? Would it work out the box or would I have to change the chainrings? Or would it not work at all?

It should work. The 9 speed chainrings are just a little further apart than the 10 speed, the changes might not quite as crisp as with an all 10 speed setup but it should work. I am currently using a 8 speed chainset with 10 speed mechs. It works.

It'll work, cranks are much much less fussy than cassettes.
