Is the short and tall stem to allow bar switch outs?
More likely there to make some people mad.

In what circumstances would that be appropriate to ride ? Snow or sand??

That's very good. Looks very 'on here', but found it on pignonfixe.com along with this (and more):

That’s rad too. Any idea what sort of pedals are on the diamondback? I wouldn’t mind a pair of slim flats to chuck on my commuter for popping to the shops. Speedplays are hard to ride on in trainers.

Anything soft or loose.

Would be perfect with dirt drops, but rad nonetheless

Look like Nukeproof Electrons/Superstar Nanos and the like. If just for a commuter, nylon rather than metal bodies should be fine, and can be picked up for cheaps via eBay:

I would choose MKS MT FT every time. Cheap, rebuildable Japanese quality.

Just looks like a MTB to me.

Not that many standard mtbs with 2.4” tyres that I’ve seen

Z-max tires got pretty close (2.35) back in the day.

Weird that they (customer?) chose a disposable cup as a logo.
