  • Yes may8! That looks proper.

  • Haven’t ridden it yet so bars, levers and saddle will need adjusting. Brakes are hopefully shit
It’s been a proper forum effort.
Massive thanks to @Tijmen for the 3D printed cable stop, @Howard for the bb30 spacers and bearing shields, @MechaMorgan for the group set and saddle, @broken_777 for the bars, @motoko for the cable guide, @Señor_Bear for collecting the axles from America, and more I can’t remember

  • Dammit for the frame? Good build, but for some reason my eye is inexorably drawn to the conical spacer ;)

  • Of course, not to mention his extremely generous offer to resolve the problem with the frame which in my opinion is totally not his fault and I’m very glad to be able to not put him out of pocket! Cheers @Dammit

  • Also, I just don’t have another spacer the right size since this is the bearing shield and spacer in one. I do need to drop the bars so I will be getting a 5 or 10mm to replace it in the new year

  • Looks wank mate.

  • No way! It fits?

  • It fits in the frame perfectly. The inside is a bit too thick so a cable wouldn’t fit in but I filed it a bit out and it seems to be holding. I reckon if I make it in alloy then it can afford to be a bit thinner and it should be perfect

  • Good work, bar/lever angle tho

  • Great, I wouldn't trust this one too much but if it's holding up it's holding up. Worst case would be riding home on a the small ring, right? I've attached the file for the final print, to put it in the public domain.

  • When all the dust has settled, that's a really nice bike mate.

  • Great looking bike build Phil

  • Are those tyres any good? Been eyeing them up for my Caaaaad

  • Looks awesome! Are you planning to catch cattle with that lasso of a rear mech cable?

  • I hope not, I hate animal cruelty :)

  • Yeah they’re excellent. I’ve got latex tubes waiting to go in them but they’re very fast and plenty grippy in corners. I’ve just been out in the wet lanes and didn’t lose traction once. Currently running around 60 psi I’d guess.

  • Nice!

  • Awesome.

  • Dibs haha, that’s exceptional!

  • Ace. Now to test those climbing legs!! Enjoy

  • This is so damn nice!
I'd love to see it on some 650bs, but i guess it doesn't have much clearance for anything fatter

  • The chainstays annoyingly have more clearance at 700c than 650b
