I'm on a huge PC Music kick since hearing Charli XCX's latest mixtape. Somehow it's connecting with me much more now than it did the first time around, when I viewed it as some kind of quirky curiosity rather than actually incredibly catchy and well-constructed music. The subversion of pop tropes, re-appropriation of unfashionable genres (trance), cheeky web2.0 lyrics and no-holds-barred dopamine rush compositions all hit the right spots and make for a product that I find super refreshing.
