I don't know why this year's Dalwhinnie Winters Gold tastes so different than before. It's woody and not as sweet...me and my GF both thought the same straight away

Maybe a bad bottle? Is that a thing?

That's not good to hear. I have a bottle of that waiting as a Xmas present and the one I had last Xmas (from your recommendation) was a real pleasure to drink. Guess I'll find out in a few days!

Actually I think it's the 80 proof that's a wee bit rough - 100 proof is the one
