I nearly got an evasion but balked at the cost when I looked into it. Got an Ogre and haven’t regretted it.
Money saved paid for a big slice of the build. -

RE Crust Evasion: The ample tire clearance and wheel options is boss, and comfyness all the way, but its almost overkill when the geo is mostly for gravel and touring.
I havent studied the geo charts, but the difference between riding technical steep off road stuff on my Ti cross/tourer bike, vs the same stuff on for example a kona sutra, is night and day. The sutra feels like a low steady tank, and my cross bike feels like im perched on top a penny farthing.
that being said, i wouldnt hesitate to buy one if a good deal came up..

Show me a rigid 29er with 30mm trail.
Call it buzzword all you want. But most modern 29ers have trail numbers around 100mm. -

Just finshed repainting my TCX and decided to get a new monster cross wheelset with it:

Looks nice, dude! Forgive my ignorance, but what are those two bolts between the bottle bosses at the bottom of the seat tube?

What are those fastrack tyres like?
They're only eight quid or so at the minute and I might bag a couple for an experiment!
-
• #1243
I've only tried them on road so far, they're surprisingly quick, which leads me to think they're not going to be amazing in horrible mud, more of a unpaved road tyre. But I may yet be surprised

👍

They're surprisingly good in most conditions, but yeah, mud, not a chance.
That said, I've only ridden the S-Works version, hopefully those ones aren't less grippy
