Darumas are designed to snug the fender right to the underside of the fork, I think the current penchant for more closely following the tire profile means that people are using them on bikes that they may not be appropriate for. If you shortened the daruma, snugged the fender and adjusted all other distances to match (because matching) would that solve the noise, or am I reading you wrong?
Yeah, snug that Daruma up.
Some frames they just work on leaving a neat fit.
I think I stuck a large washer in here (wider than steerer tube) guard is just lower than brake calliper.
