Good read that. Seems to ignore though, as a lot of these pieces do, that the choice is not just London or the sticks (with the latter often meaning still commuting to London). Lots of other cities are cheaper and easier than London but still exciting and modern and cool. I can confirm that Bristol, for example, has all of 'diversity, energy, sushi'.
