a. it's expensive
b. most of my negs would be difficult to print traditionally
c. I don't have any space to keep prints or any use for them really.....this isn't aimed at you solely but at quite a few talented people in here -
yeah I of course know what you mean, still it's meant to be printed, is it not?
It just sucks when people scrolling down your work on their phones is the final outcome of it all.
So yea..a) ..it is expensive - but it's worth it. Also hybrid workflow isn't really that costly (see 'b')
b) ..to be completely honest I don't know shit about colour printing. I saw some great work done by hand - but matter of fact I also saw quite a lot of analogue colour prints (done by a pro lab, printed from 6x7 negs shot on Mamiya 7's) that simply impressed me a lot less than giclée prints I ordered online.
My point being that while I realize it's "not the same" hybrid (analog-digital) workflow / inkjet-prints done properly on high quality paper definitely has its merits and can look really good - and can be had for just a few bucks.c) we should make a zine / book. Also I'm open for print swaps!
Cheers @hoefla - ha, making a record cover for a band I love (or at least supplying the image) is on my list
@shinkuu_kiss ..also like the first one. By the way do you make prints of your stuff?
