Much Wenlock to Craven Arms (B4378 and B4368) and Much Wenlock to Church Stretton (B4371) ?
B4278 was used for 'road through the middle of nowhere' in Clockwise - distant views towards Bridgnorth.
B4371 gives decent views from Wenlock Edge of most of the Cheshire Gap one side and the Clee Hills the other.
B4368 used to be used by Classic Bike Guide for road tests and is still favored by Sunday motorcyclists. -
The suggestions @MrE made are good but if you want something really dramatic the road across the top of the Long Mynd could be good. It's certainly dramatic and open but it's not an A road or a main road (not a country lane though either, at least not a typical one).
Shropshire. Anyone know it well? Specifically roads?
I'm shooting something in January which requires a dramatic stretch of road to film on. Has to be in Shropshire though. Ideally not too 'country lane'. I would assume the A49 is going to be our best bet at a 'main' road driving through some pretty country but is it a bit 'too' main? Curves in the road are good for us. Being at the top of a hill so we can reveal country below is good for us. Open rather than wooded ideally. Any tips appreciated.
