I know. I have a set of 60mm bluemels and it allows mud to go everywhere on the platform of my front rack.

Yeh always wanted one of those casserolls but never quite had the cash back then. Rack looks good, any ID on it?
Looks alright for sticking a jacket and gloves in or something like that -

No way! This is a rad colour scheme...

Yes!

Cool!
^ that stem is sick!
-
• #17466
Why would you do this? Surely bars/stem don't really flex enough that it's a problem and it's just added weight, no? Something to do with fitting lights is it?
-
• #17467
Cause they thought 'hey that would look cool'
-
• #17468
Precisely the opposite of functional then? 😉
I'm not criticising, just curious by the way.

I don't think it would add much extra weight. It also allows a slimmer side profile to match forks, and would increase stiffness (during dirt / gravel fun).
Also because bullmoose.

While I tend to love everything bullmoose, that stem is plain dumb.
It will only work with certain bars and as far as I know, central bulge width isn't something that's usually specified so it's gonna be an expensive game of trial and error to find ones that'll fit.
Also impacts how far along the flats of your bars you can tape by the looks of it.
That said, it was probably custom made to fit that bike and those bars so fair play.

Most function.

love this! And not just because of the brakes. Is that Nitto M18?

That Mikkelsen is close to my dream bike. It even has my name on it!

Sure is! I thought about doing a Cross Check fork and using the canti bosses for the rack but decided I preferred the crown and rake of the Steamroller fork. Even with the p-clamps.
Son and SP are the only people who make tru axel dynamos as far as I know.
